Golshifteh a completely different type

Golshifteh started her acting career in theater at the age of 6 and has always kept a strong link with theater, but it was at the age of 14 that she acted in her first film The Pear Tree (1998), for which she won the prize for the Best Actress from the international section of the Fajr film festival, immediately making her one of the stars of Iranian cinema. Since then she has played in more than 15 films, many of which have been screened or awarded at international festivals. Amongst her latest films are Bahman Ghobadi's Half Moon (2006) (winner of the Golden Seashell at the San Sebastián film festival 2006), Dariush Mehrjui's controversial Santoori (2007), still banned in Iran, and the late Rasool Mollagholi Poor's M for Mother (2006), which after a huge success in Iran was chosen to represent Iran for the Best Foreign Film at the Academy Awards in 2008. After playing in Body of Lies (2008) by Ridley Scott, Golshifteh became the first Iranian star to act in a major Hollywood production. Subsequently she was banned from leaving her country. Her last film in Iran About Elly (2009) won a Silver Bear in Berlin and the Best Narrative Feature at Tribeca (2009). Golshifteh graduated from music school, she sings and plays the piano amongst other instruments. She is also fluent in French and English and lives in Paris now.

Named after her grandmother, Cleopatra was born on the east coast of Trinidad in the fishing community of Village, . Encouraged by her father Raymond, who was an athlete in high school, Cleopatra pursued her interest in athletics from an early age, quickly developing a passion for the throwing events.

Cleopatra has been competing on the international stage for 10 years, with her first success coming at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, England, where she was placed just out of the medals in fourth place. In 2003, Cleopatra won her first international medal, a silver at the Central American and Caribbean () Championships in Grenada. 2004 saw Cleopatra qualify for and compete in her first Olympics, the Games in Athens, where she was placed 10th in the shot put final.

Cleopatra continued to build on her athletic success. In 2006 she won bronze medals at the Games in Columbia and the Commonwealth Games in Australia. Another bronze at the 2007 Pan American Games paved the way for her second Olympic qualification. She competed in the 2008 Beijing Games where she was placed 17th in the final shot put rankings.

The first international gold for Cleopatra came in 2010, at the Games in Rico. In recognition of this achievement, the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee named her Female Athlete of the Year. Her success continued into 2011, where she picked up a silver medal at the Pan American Games and a gold medal at the  Championships. 

Cleopatra is currently an assistant coach at Virginia Tech in , Virginia, USA. She works closely with the throwing coach, Gregory Jack, who is also her personal coach. Cleopatra would like to become a college coach in the future. She is conscious of her status as a role model for young Caribbean throwers, a position that comes with being one of the most successful female field .

I've been wanting to write this post for a very, very long time. No, I don't feel like I'm some sort of all-knowing tattoo guru. Not even in the slightest. But I have most certainly experienced the good, the bad, and the all kinds of ugly when it comes to being tattooed. My personal belief is that tattoos have done nothing short of enriching my life. They have brought so many wonderful people and artists into my life. They allow me to share some of my most favorite memories and works of art with strangers of all walks of life at all times. I'm a moving, walking, talking art gallery in itself. To put it lightly, they're special. Each one of my tattoos has a specific meaning or significance, and contrary to popular belief, I probably don't want to tell you about them. I guess that's where this etiquette guide comes in! For the wannabe tattooed crowd and the people who just "don't get it"... it's a no-frills way to looking into the lives of those who have decided to take the plunge. There are also a couple of pointers for those looking to work their way into the tattooed community. All around, it's just a guide to tell you "Don't be ignorant." It's the simple things!

The first world’s tattoo dates back in 4,000 years B.C, found in Egypt mummies, however tattoos has gained a huge popularity since then, and today more and more people seem to have fallen in love with this awesome art. Not only ordinary people, but celebrities as well-they all seem to have at least one tattoo-most of them are well done by the best tattoo pro’s while there are others that have shocked all of us, such as the the British model Cara Delevingne where she writes ‘made in England ‘ under her foot; now that is crazy and weird. Rita Ora has a bird behind her neck, and I don’t mind any cute little bird! it’s a simple plain bird that looks boring.

David Beckham is some stuff written in Chinese, i mean should we all learn Chinese in order to read that? I really find Chinese tattoos pointless (unless you are from China, or at least you speak Chinese or you are related to China in some way or from)…people think is cute to just write some stuff in Chinese that no one can read, but I don’t see an Chinese writing ‘Water’ on their stomach thinking that is cool. Saying that, have you see the Cheryl Cole rose tattoo on her back? that thing is huge! If there is one thing I would never do, is having my partner’s name tattooed in my arm! I mean what’s the point to that? or just in case you forget who you are married to; apparently Melanie Griffith has a tattoo where the name ‘Antonio’ is tattooed in a heart shape (she is married to Antonio Banderas).
